As everyone knows, tomorrow is our 9th Annual Charity Car Show - the club's showcase fund raising event for the year. The weather is forecast to be a beautiful mid-60s sunny day with a 0% chance of rain.
The venue, Joe Davis Stadium in Huntsville provides us with a large parking area to accommodate more than our historical 200+ show cars. We will have a central "Mall" of vendors with the Corvette Museum traveling store, food vendors and many more. There will also be static displays from the Huntsville Fire & Police Departments, Bomb Squad/SWAT and the Veteran's Museum.
We have 120 door prizes and an over-stuffed goody bag this year. A big Thank-you to everyone who beat the streets amassing all the great items. With only a few exceptions, each of our door prizes are valued more than the $20 entry fee. When adding in the value of our show t-shirt and goody bag, we provide the best show value and experience around. Additionally, we have nice collection interesting Silent Auction items.
All members are strongly encouraged to participate by registering their cars and volunteer with the various aspects (parking, registration, set up/tear down, door prizes and 50/50 ticket sales) that are part of hosting this show. You can register online via the website (online registrations receive an extra door prize ticket) and also sign up as a volunteer if you haven't already done so. Volunteers should be at the stadium between 6:45 - 7:00 am to help get everything set up for the 8:00 am start time.
As a reminder, it is a long standing club policy that members are eligible to win door prizes and the 50/50 raffle but are not eligible for the Grand Prize or for any of the sponsor trophies.
