Issues of
the Quarterly Meeting 26 July 2015
The quarterly meeting of
the club was held on 26 July 2015, and two Articles of the Bylaws were approved
for amendment by the members present. Articles III and X of the Bylaws
were amended to change the
membership fee to $40.00 for new members, and to add annual dues of $30.00 for
existing members. The rationale for
these changes is that with our current yearly expenses, we need to establish
consistent income to meet these expenses.
ARTICLE III - MEMBERSHIP
A. Member – Membership in the
Association is open to all who own or have a passion for Corvettes. NEW Membership is established when an
application is submitted along with the forty dollar ($40.00) registration
fee. Existing members will be required
to pay a thirty dollar ($30.00) annual fee for renewal of their
membership. New Members will be required
to pay a thirty dollar ($30.00) annual fee for renewal of their membership the
following year after joining the Association. A Member may hold an elected office, as well as vote in matters of Club
business. A membership shall consist of
no more than two individuals. Membership
is not restricted as to gender, race, creed, age, or religion. A Member will be classified as defined below:
ARTICLE X – MEMBERSHIP FEES
Each New Membership shall pay a
new registration fee of forty dollars ($40.00) upon joining the Association and
an annual renewal fee beginning the following year. Members will be required to pay an annual
renewal fee of thirty dollars ($30.00), due on January 1 of each year. If renewal fee is not paid by March 1, a ten
dollar ($10.00) late fee will be applied. If renewal fees are not paid by June 1, member will be removed from the
roster and data base. All reinstatements
after June 1 will result in new membership fees. The Board of Directors shall establish a
budget to pay ongoing operating expenses of the Association. If membership fees are deemed insufficient to
cover these expenses, the Board of Directors may consider alternate means to
cover expenses. Registration and annual
renewal fees are non-refundable and will not be pro-rated.
These
amendments take effect immediately and dues will become payable on 1 January
2016.
We
also have a new Events Director on the Board of Directors. Ray Vaughn resigned due to workload and time,
and Bill Olszewski volunteered for the job. He was unanimously voted in by the
Board of Directors.
